The Alta View Hospital Master Plan project, completed in 2019, was a comprehensive redevelopment and expansion initiative undertaken to transform Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Utah, into a modern, patient-centric healthcare facility. The project’s objective was to enhance the hospital’s ability to provide exceptional healthcare services to its growing community while focusing on patient comfort, safety, and overall experience.

Key components of the Master Plan included the construction of a new, state-of-the-art, five-story medical tower that houses patient rooms, surgical suites, a maternity center, and an advanced intensive care unit. The project also involved the renovation and expansion of existing facilities, including the emergency department, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services. A new, centrally located lobby was designed to improve wayfinding and patient accessibility, while upgraded infrastructure systems ensured the hospital’s long-term operational efficiency.

One of the project’s most notable features was the incorporation of sustainable design principles, which aimed to minimize environmental impact and improve energy efficiency. This was achieved through the use of eco-friendly building materials, efficient lighting and HVAC systems, and water conservation strategies.

The Alta View Hospital Master Plan project has significantly improved the hospital’s ability to serve the needs of the community while providing a comfortable, healing environment for patients and their families.
