Liz, Director of Sustainability at VBFA, is an experienced leader in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. At the forefront of VBFA’s sustainability initiatives, Liz not only spearheads internal efforts, but also expertly navigates external collaborations. She excels in harmonizing the technical and human aspects of projects, fostering a shared commitment to sustainability goals among all involved. As an expert in sustainable building design, Liz ensures each project not only meets but surpasses industry standards for minimizing embodied carbon, optimizing energy efficiency, and integrating renewable resources, all while maintaining a thoughtful and strategic approach.

Outside of the office, she is likely to be found working on her urban foodscape in her backyard with her husband and two children, talking to her neighbors about water conservation and the Great Salt Lake, or volunteering with local environmental organizations.
