VBFA provided engineering services including culinary water, sanitary sewer, storm water, natural gas, high temperature water and chilled water, and the evaluation of items relative to the high temperature water, chilled water, natural gas, and energy issues relating to the mechanical and plumbing systems for the buildings. Project also included the parking design for an 11-building campus housing complex located on a 36-acre historic military fort site. Included major replacement of utility systems to new and historic buildings, sensitivity to historic and archaeological features, design of 2,900 lineal feet of roadway and access drives, 1,280 new parking stalls, preparation of storm water prevention plans, and coordination with a large, multi-disciplinary team of designers and contractors. Intended as a student living/learning center, the facility housed Olympic athletes during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. |
