VBFA was responsible for the mechanical and civil engineering for this major courts facility with three levels of underground parking and prisoner holding area. The delivery method was Design Build.

One of the unique features of this 418,000 square foot courts facility is that the mechanical system is located on the roof of the building. This minimizes the risk of tampering with the system. The mechanical system also uses a state-of-the-art variable volume reheat system with constant volume distribution with each courtroom to maintain ventilation standards.

VBFA also provided complete civil engineering services for the facility, including building utilities, storm drainage, and grading design of ramps into three levels of underground parking. The civil work also included design of a permanent foundation dewatering system.
