VBFA provided the mechanical and plumbing engineering for the 76,000 square foot OSHA Salt Lake Technical Center. This $14 million building is a research laboratory and includes instrument rooms, laboratories and chemical storage spaces. It also provides support administration services with offices, a data center, conference rooms and an educational /training room that seats 140. The design incorporated energy efficient systems, commissioning, ozone friendly refrigerants, increased metering, indoor air quality monitoring, chemical and pollution controls and thermal comfort features. It has been awarded a Silver LEED Certified rating.
